Today, my article for Sitepoint.com, »Caffeinate Your Hypertext, was just put online. I'm currently researching Wiki technology as well as »Eastgate Systems's »Tinderbox software. Amazingly, crazily cool stuff.

Especially Tinderbox, which is all I ever hoped for in an info manager. I am excited to write about it. It's amazing that this software isn't more popular. Of course, maybe it's very popular; maybe Eastgate just has a wise business model.

Is this the closest we'll get to the GUI part of Xanadu? It all seems very complicated. Perhaps the laziness, impatience, and hubris of programmers can get in their way, especially when we're talking about a medium that has garnered such diligence on the part of content creators in the past. Hey, Joseph Conrad spent 9 years writing Heart of Darkness.

Technology moves so fast that no-one bothers to actually put effort or art into anything.
